Inspiring Generosity in the Next Generation: Reflections on Faith, Giving, and Connection

Siebert Lutheran Foundation, Augustine Financial, and Outreach for Hope recently co-hosted a workshop to explore generosity and intergenerational giving. Participants reflected on profound questions: How do we share and pass on our values? What moves us to give? And how does generosity shape and strengthen our relationships, communities, and lives?

A special thank you to Cynthia Halverson, Cindy Carlson Dobberke, and Molly Dobberke for their inspiring words. Their insights illuminated the evening, sparking thoughtful conversations and inspiring action. We are also deeply grateful to the Greater Milwaukee Foundation for hosting us at their ThriveOn King space, which provided a beautiful and welcoming environment for this discussion.

Throughout the evening, participants shared stories and insights, fostering a sense of community grounded in shared values.

Charlotte John-Gomez, President of the Siebert Lutheran Foundation, reflected on the evening:

Inspiring Generosity in the Next Generation was a beautiful testament to the power of generosity and faith in action. The Holy Spirit was present as we explored how to leave a legacy that reflects our values and supports the causes we care about for generations. Hearing stories of joy and spiritual fulfillment through purposeful giving inspired us all to embrace generosity as a way of life.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special evening.
